Galatopita - Milk Pie - Greek Food Recipe Videos

This dessert Greek is one of my favorites of all time, because it is not too sweet and very, very easy to use. Although a similar number of possibilities that are known to have for dessert Ghalaktoboureko is, this cake does not mean too thick or wiring required for outdoors, as the mixture coagulates and forms a separate dish while cooking, as shown in the photo here upon.

Recipe:

5 cups milk
1 cup semolina end
½ cup butter
3 eggs
1 cupSugar
Cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 350 ° F.

2. On the stove, bring the milk almost to a boil in a saucepan, then add the butter, sugar and flour and take care of heat stirring constantly until a thick cream, then turn off the heat and let stand for a few minutes to cool slightly.

3. Whisk the eggs and add to the mixture thickened and integrate well with a whisk.

4. Butter / oil bottom and sides of pie pan or other high wall oven panand pour the mixture thickened, then in the oven and bake for about 1 hour, until top is brown (see photo), then turn off the oven, but do not remove the cake in 15 minutes.

When the cake is removed from oven, let stand to cool for several hours and serve covered with cinnamon, powdered sugar /.
